26/1/21 IT Equipment

AV Loans are unable to provide IT equipment to staff or students.

Please click here for support if due to a lack of equipment, you cannot  carry out your studies.

Staff should contact their line manager.

13/1/21 Service Update (Please read carefully)

The AV Loans service is open to support essential teaching and learning activities, please complete a request form so we can assess your needs and provide support to those who have essential requirements.

Please await confirmation before attending site.

You must follow government guidelines on travelling to and accessing the campus

Please note:In line with the new national lockdown and latest government guidance, a number of campus buildings have been closed until further notice.

Only those students who have face-to-face teaching for the specified subject areas in Health and Life Sciences (HLS) are permitted to access buildings where their classes take place.

 All other students therefore must not try and access any workshops or labs in any other circumstances.

Research students are permitted to access specialist labs and study spaces but only if it is deemed absolutely necessary to conduct their work.

5/1/21 System Update

The AV Loans service will be using the current site closure as an opportunity to update our systems to improve our capability. The website will be unavailable on the 6/1/21, service will be restored on the 7/1/21.

5/1/21 Closure due to Lockdown

The AV Loans service will be closed until further notice due to the national lockdown. We apologise for any inconvenience and will be regularly reviewing the situation as to when it will be possible to restore the service.

If you currently have equipment on loan don't worry, we will be in touch to re-arrange your return when it is safe to do so.

Christmas requests have now finished we are working hard to make these bookings on a first come first served basis please wait for your email response before coming to collect.


16/11/20 High Numbers of Booking Requests

We are experiencing high number of booking requests. Please be patient and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Bookings requests are processed in the order we receive them.

Please allow a minimum of one working day for your request to be processed (this does not include Saturday and Sunday.


30/09/20 New AV Loans Booking Procedure

All bookings are to be made via the booking form.

Changes have been made to the system to minimise the number of people collecting and returning equipment at the same time.

Equipment will need to be collected and returned at prearranged times.

The AV Loans website can only be used to view the range of equipment available to you. The bookings calendar has been disabled.  


17/07/20 Equipment still on loan?

If you still have equipment on loan from the service, please keep it safe until we re-open. We will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient return date.

If you have graduated and are still in posession of kit please drop us an email to let us know and discuss options.
